Question 2
4 MICRO-ELEMENTS
Mise-en-Scene
The props that are used are chosen to create tone and explain the storyline to the viewer. The dark makeup that is used has a dull and monotone colour palette that is intentionally chosen to create this gothic look to represent another character in the story ( The vile side of the girls). In contrast, the normal and natural makeup in the café scene makes the character looks guiltless and gentle <-- this is used to vividly portray the innocence of the 2 girls in the plot. Moreover, the student uniform is used in the scene to indicate the position of the characters, giving important details that the audience could possibly want to know. It also allows the audience to see whether they are interested in this film/series or not ( e.g. they might be interested as it is relatable to them as they are students themselves) Also, the black clothing that is worn is used to enhance the personality / the other side of the characters - how they are evil and sinful.
Moving on to the props that are used... the roses are used to symbolize the powerful elements of love ( friendship love )The white rose symbolizes virtue and purity side of people where in contrast, the black rose symbolizes monstrosity of people. The juxtaposition of 2 different colour in the footage is very effective as it creates suspense and it foreshadows *
It also makes the audience feel unease as the two opposite creates irony which makes the story seem uncanny. - this creates mood to the footage.
Camerawork
The camerawork that is used throughout the opening credit is used to convey the theme of psychopathic- thriller.By the use of close ups CU : Extreme close ups on the eyes to show the main details of the eye lashes - indicating the gender of the character - (female) , Mid shots are also used to show the characters in the settings. For example the use of Mid shots during the under water scene - it is used to show the character and the place/location there are at.
Editing
Most of the shots that are used are jump shotss/cut - Jump shots/cuts are used to create a disconnection between frames. This is used to disrupt the smooth flow emphasizing vigorous actions. Also, it is used to emphasize on the the fact that something is hiding. The jump cut makes it seem like the story has a hidden message ( covering up a crime scene) to it creating a mood to the scene (scary and uncomfortable to the viewer).
Not just to create symbolism to the scene but it also draws the attention of the audience because it disrupts the continuous flow.
Sound
In our opening credit we use both Diegetic and Non-Diegetic sounds. Diegetic sounds are visible on screen are used to tell the story to the audience for example how we use the speech of a poem. This is used to
But later on , the café scene - we have an accumulation of voices. The non-diegetic sounds are intentionally done to create a sense of demonization of characters. This building up of voices creates drama and builds up tension in the scene as the voice over voices makes it feel like the object/subject is coming closer as it increases the volume. It also creates a sense of threat as the voices are repeated continuously- giving a sense of "warning". Also, the soundtrack - creates tone to the scene. The soft lullaby music creates the sense of calmness to the scene but occasionally the break in the lullaby ( off the key notes ) makes it seems like theres something behind the softness and gentleness of the music. Just like the characters of the girls - they have something that they are hiding.

EVALUATION - Question 4 - Group Activity
How would it be distributed as a real media text?
Even though this is a film it has a long form narrative opportunity of being successful in the TV but it would be better as a series.
I would distributed the film to a mainstream block buster like Netflix where it would attract a mass audience. The reason for this is because the film opening consists of a typical opening of a series. It contains the element that makes it suitable for a series such as the abstract scenes of each character that emphasizes on the characters it self ( main characters).I believe this could be distrubuted as a TV series as the plot itself is really thrilling and suspenseful. The story evolves killing, revenge and hurting which is quite cliché for a TV series. But however this could be a new thing that the audience likes as it is quite abstract and outside the box as we have the antagonist as a women. It is good for a series as it " Let nobody be safe" because of the death plotting , shock death scene and corse disposal.
From my research I have found out that a serious drama series should at least consist these things to make it successful:
Also, This could be reached to the audience by at first distributing it to Netflix which after that Netflix would send it out to people from it's website or on TV. Also, it could be promoted on iTunes like the promos of each episodes like " The Vampire Diaries " or " Game of Thrones".The other way that we will try is to show the promos on Youtube adverts before any video starts. The type of audience is Affinity audiences which is selected from these audiences to reach potential customers and make them aware of the film.(built for businesses running a TV ad who would like to extend the reach of a TV campaign to an online context for an efficient price)
The distribution channels that will be involved will be starting from Production to the Local TV stations then will be broadcasted to the consumers who paid daily to watch the TV. This would be a very effective marketing since the majority of people have TVs at home and watch it on a daily basis.Along with accessing the internet, it is also very effective since everyone has it.Especially Netflix , it is a really popular source of entertainment and is well-known to everyone. However, it could only be viewed by some countries for example: in Thailand - the website doesn't work so it might be bit hard to earn bucks since there would be torrent downloads and some people might use it but overall it would gain a lot of awareness from consumers.

The series would be really successful if the first episode is shown on the 31st of October "Halloween's Day" since this is about killing, revenge and psychopaths it would be a perfect fit for Halloween.

EVALUATION - Question 1
EVALUATION - Question 6
R E S E A R C H
For the researching part it involves myself going online to find inspiration also blogger is used to record my findings which shows evidence of my work. This didn't involve only internet online research it also involved primary research like books that is available at school, opinions and thoughts of people of the theme and also from story telling.
P L A N N I N G
In order for the planning to be done, several research is needed to kindle that light of inspiration. The search is on the internet; google , websites and even some story-telling blogs. After that, the facts is being presented on a piece of paper at first and later on developed into a clean finished copy which is ready to be presented on the blog. Some of the work is also being demonstrated in a more interesting way in a form of audio and video.( sometimes even photos - panoramic view of the settings)
F I L M I N G
In this project filming is really important and it is the main thing we use for taking record of what we've done and presenting out work. But in order for the filming to work smoothly props were needed to enhance the scenes as well as the use of makeup and outfits to create representations and a realistic image. The combination of all these gave us a good outcome which we think goes really well together
P O S T production
The main highlight go this project is AE ( After effects) which is also used along with Premier Pro, Final cut pro and iMovie. We found out that AE ( After effects) is really effective when it is used with Premier Pro, Final cut and iMovie as it does not only create effects and interesting flares and details to the work it also makes the footage connected if it is used properly.

Evaluation - Question 5
My production skills developed throughout this project so much that I couldn't even believe myself.Starting from cluelessly knowing what I have to do in class to an acceptable film maker.
It is a big jump for me since this is a new subject for me and I was always struggling with ICT.I found my self more confident in interpreting codes and conventions that matches with my theme for the opening, exploring the deeper meaning of the subject/objects in my opening. Also, this project improved my planning and organizing skills a lot. As before I was a person who doesn't plan for anything where I just go with the flow , by planning allows me to be precise and accurate in my work.Which I believe is a precious quality because it forces myself to not go out of place and always keeps my aim visible and lucid in my mind at all times - very effective in the film industries especially in marketing for the correct audience.Furthermore, it keeps me on track of time and to predict and estimate the amount of time I need for the things I have to do and roughly predict when my work would finish. But most of all it reduces STRESS of unknowingly know what to do.I believe I am more confident in using Visual FX and that my skills have improved a whole lot as now.As my work is aimed at being abstract and quite absurd I had to make my film opening quite artsy. This gave me the opportunity to use AE ( After effect) on my daily basis to achieve the hallucination and haunting vision.Which at first I was a rookie at it but now I can fully say that I have improved a lot and I could do a lot more effects with it which I am really proud of even though I am not 100 % good with it.Also, in this project I further my ability by creating my work outside the box by experimenting with camera-work with limitless possibilities. For example I filmed my work in the swimming pool. Which took a lot of time and patience as It was not as simple as it seems. It was really complex and quite difficult to master the angles and the jumps ( into the swimming pool) at the same time. But I did it anyways.
The editing was hard at first but as time goes on with more practices and knowledge the editing part is not a struggle for me anymore and it became something I really look forward to in every class as it is fun and it is when me and my working-buddy (Arisa) talk about anything.
I believe this project is one of the projects that I fully express my creative mind, embracing my creative confidence as I wanted to achieve something that is outside of the box and quite bizarre which was really fun and enjoyable because I had to learn all the things on AE (after effects). Then again creative confidence is a powerful quality for marketing as it differentiate your work from others, making your work unique and YOURS.
