True Blood

We like the techiniques that are used in the opening of " True Blood ". 
The merging of images and blending footages together inspired our work. Merging of footages can create tone and is highly effective if it is used properly.Merging go images can also shows the connection of an object/person/scenery to something.This is good for showing deep meanings and story-telling.Not just that it makes the video more meaningful but it is also a really cool effect and it is very beautiful. The blending of images creates patterns.

The other thing we like about the opening is the use of abstract scenes.The abstract footages symbolizes various things in the opening.For example in this opening : The deterioration and decaying of animals could be associated with death.

It has a strong use of representation.In here " Decaying and Collapsing is a strong image also there is a strong representation of the civil rights - ( Vampire civil rights) , lust , evilness , predator and prey ( evils, sins or vices that exist throughout the night) with religious and sexual themes.

In this opening credit we get this sense of something always lurking and stalking the viewer.By starting off at first it began from being in the forest then finally it came into the city.

We think this is very effective as it makes the audience into our credit opening and we want to make them feel what we want them to feel like to create a sense of  threat and danger while they view our credit opening.
We also like they way that they vividly portray their theme and storyline by the use of their filters for each of their footage. As they use the colour : Toxic - Greeny -Yellow  I think it is very powerful as it emphasizes on " Decaying " - ( Vampires hunting on their prey and the death of the victims decaying). The colous that is used is also aesthetically beautiful and it looks really good with the whole opening credit.
